Kathleen is a lovely English gold mohair bear with a beautiful face, and dates to c.1930s/40s. She’s a musical bear, but the winder in her back no longer turns so she’s sadly silent.
Firmly stuffed – not sure what with but it isn’t woodwool – Kathleen has original amber glass eyes, and rexine pads showing some surface wear to her left paw and foot. In the past her nose and mouth have been resewn.
Also, Kathleen’s limb joints are quite swingy and her fur is a little faded at the front. It shows overall thinning and bald areas, especially at the back around her keywinder. Even so, Kathleen is a charming character, and wears her shortie lace dress and jacket, with a vintage flower brooch.
