A gorgeous, cuddly white cotton-plush, flat-faced Chiltern Hugmee c.1940s, standing 43cm (17″) high on card-lined feet. Kapok-filled with a woodwool head, Princess Pearl is all original, except for a resewn mouth.
She has lovely amber glass eyes, with a black-embroidered shield-shaped nose, along with beige velvet pads. There’s a little surface wear to the nap, along with a hole to each of her foot ones. She also appears to have a full set of claws, mostly covered by her fur.
The Princess also has a non-working squeaker, but her joints are fully-mobile. There’s a little settlement of stuffing around her upper torso, so her head nods forward as if greeting Royalty! Overall, though, Princess Pearl is in pretty good condition, having kept virtually all of her snowy white plush.
In the absence of a crown – she still aspires to be a Queen one day! – Princess Pearl wears a sparkling tiara, with a delicate, vintage lace collar studded with pearls – a few are missing, so she may never be trusted with a crown!
