Mei-Lee is a beautiful Chiltern panda c.1940s – she no longer retains her footlabel, only the outline where it was attached. She’s 28cm (11″) tall, and kapok-filled with a woodwool head.
All original, with felt-backed amber glass eyes, Mei-Lee also has a black-embroidered nose and mouth. Her velvet pads are in good condition, with a full set of claws.
There’s a small upper repair to the inside of her right leg, and her disc joint is showing through a little under her left arm. Otherwise, this gorgeous little panda is in great shape. Her squeaker no longer works, but her joints are fully-mobile and, although she has some thinning to her mohair, and a few bald areas, Mei-Lee is lovely and furry.
Wearing a handmade neck ruffle with an aged brass bell, Mei-Lee is shown playing with our miniature ceramic panda.
