A rare pair of playful Schuco yes/no fox cubs c.1930s, with tail-turning mechanism, enabling them to move their heads from left to right, and nod up and down.

Called Rusty & Ginger, the little foxes are woodwool-stuffed, and have original features. Their eyes are back-painted amber glass, with an embroidered nose and mouth.

Rusty, wearing the dark felt collar, sits 10cm (4″) high to the tips of his ears, and 5″ long from nose to tail. He’s more furry than his brother, with faded gold mohair showing a little loss, otherwise he’s in very good condition.

Ginger sits up higher at 14cm (5.5″), and 10cm (4″) long from nose to tail. His covering of pale yellow-gold mohair is more sparse, and his tail more upright than Rusty’s.  It doesn’t move his head up and down quite as far either, though can be lifted up manually. He’s a bit lazy!

Overall, the cubs are a delightful duo with their inquisitive, long pointed noses, and foxy faces.
