Take a nostalgic trip down memory lane, with this original Old Bear, based on Jane Hissey’s beautifully illustrated picture book ‘Old Bear’, first published in 1986.  Old Bear was inspired by Jane’s stuffed teddy given to her by her grandmother when she was born, and the subsequent series of Old Bears books, including Old Bear and Friends, was also inspired by her childhood toys. Jane went on to write a model-animation TV series of Old Bear Stories, which has won many international awards, including a BAFTA.

This Old Bear is in excellent condition, fully-jointed and 46cm (18″) tall. Made of gold plush, and soft-stuffed, he has black ribbed features, embroidered claws, and aged cotton twill pads. He’s lovely and cuddly, and dressed by his owner in a white knitted jacket pinned with a red, white & blue ribbon bow.

Old Bear also travels with a copy of a Special Limited Edition Old Bear book, so he can continue reading about himself & his friends.
