A mega cute, Farnell Dinkie dog, designed by Chloe Preston c.1930s. Originally made of purple velvet, now faded to various shades, Dinkie has the rare distinction of a tattered paper tag being attached with string to his chest. Albeit only half of it remains , – but it would have read ‘Made in England Mascot Dinkie’.

Kapok-stuffed, Dinkie’s head swivels, and he stands 10cm (4″) high. He has glass googly eyes, with a black-embroidered nose, and a cheeky little cream felt tongue showing some wear.

Overall, though, this charming pup is in good sturdy condition, and travels with his handmade felt cushion.
