Early musical bellows duck

An endearing, early worn mohair duck, with a strong musical bellows movement, that plays a loud melodious tune when her base is pressed.  Called Doris, she’s kapok-stuffed with a woodwool neck and head.

Unjointed, Doris sits 19cm (7.5″) high, and 24cm (9.5″ long from orange felt beak to tail. She also has sewn in-felt eyes, green felt wings, and orange felt feet, which are only visible beneath her. There’s a little wear to the top of her bald head, and her beak is now rather grubby – no doubt through dipping it in muddy rivers and ponds for food! Her wings too have a few marks on them,  and the stuffing has settled in her tail, so it kinks rather than stands upright.

Doris has obviously lost some of her white mohair, but her green mohair neck is still furry and vibrant. Overall, she’s a ‘quacking’ character, and wears a wired flower-printed neck ribbon.
