Schuco Yes/No cat SOLD

A beautiful, fairly rare Schuco mohair cat, with tail-turning Yes/No mechanism c.1920s.  Called Iris, she sits 15cm (6″) high, and 13cm (5″) long from nose to tail. When her tail is turned, Iris turns her head from left to right indicating No, and can also nod up and down for Yes.

Woodwool-stuffed, this clever pussy is made of white mohair, with hints of faded lilac shading. She has back-painted green glass eyes, with a peach embroidered nose and mouth, plus a couple of remaining whiskers.

There’s a little settlement of filling to her tail, otherwise Iris is in overall lovely condition, with minimal loss of fur.  She wears her original, attached faded lilac ribbon, and is simply adorable.

This enchanting cat, travels with an old heart-shaped cushion, decorated with tiny lilac flowers, and a velvet bow.  `
