A sumptuous, and very pretty, winter white velvet coat, featuring a deep scalloped collar trimmed with lace. Fully-lined in a cream silky material, the sleeves have turn back cuffs, and slightly puffed shoulders.
It fastens at the neck with a single mother-of-pearl button through a loop, and has vertical pintucks falling from each shoulder. There’s also some delicate floral embroidery down the front, and around the collar.
The coat has been shortened by hand in the past and measures 39 cms (15.25″) long. Width is 14″ armhole to armhole, and inside sleeve 5″ long, but the cuffs can easily be rolled back shorter.
We’re not sure of the coat’s age, but it’s Victorian in style, and shows a little wear here and there to the velvet nap. Overall, though, it’s in very good condition, and is specially perfect for Christmas.
This charming old coat should fit bears up to 24″ tall (depending on build), and is shown modelled by Lillibet, 21″ tall, and a resident of OBN. The Christmas scarf and sheepskin boots are available separately.
