A sweet, small flat-faced Chiltern Hugmee bear c.1940s. Tllly has a working tilt growler and measures 28 cms (11″) tall. She’s completely stuffed with woodwool, and is in near minty condition, having kept virtually all of her bright gold mohair.
Tilly retains her original features, including amber glass eyes and a black-embroidered nose and mouth. Her rexine pads show minor surface wear, and her joints work fine.
This charming little character is wearing her vintage taffeta dress, all hand-sewn, with an old voile bonnet. Shown in our pics trying out a Campari cocktail!
I’m not used to drinking alcoholic beverages, and the cocktail made me a bit tipsy and I went and spilt my cocktail all down the front of my pretty dress!
It put an end to my photo session, as Sue had to wash and iron it, then start all over again the next day, taking my pictures. She wasn’t best pleased, so wouldn’t give me another Campari.
This is why I look quite grumpy, staring at an empty glass grrrr!
