Ollie is a cute, L/E Merrythought fund-raising bear c.2007. He was produced for the charity GOSH, to help raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital, in London.
This is one of the world’s leading children’s hospitals, and Ollie has a little blanket attached to his wrist, embroidered with the GOSH logo. His side-seam label is numbered 488 of 1000 made, and he also has a Merrythought footlabel.
Ollie measures 33 cms (13″) tall and is soft-stuffed. He has lock-in safety eyes, and a black embroidered nose and mouth. His pads are felt, and he’s fully-jointed. Ollie’s mohair is a lovely shade of peachy-blonde, and he’s in gorgeous minty condition.
GOSH provides child and family support projects. It aims to make life in hospital as normal as possible for children and young people, raising funds to buy life-saving equipment, and funding vital research.
The charity also funds the rebuilding and refurbishment of clinical facilities and accommodation, to help transform the health and well-being of patients.
