A well-loved, flat-faced Chiltern Hugmee bear c.1940s. David is 33 cms (13″) tall, and has retained all his original features. He has amber glass eyes and a black-stitched nose and mouth, plus rexine pads, all worn with repairs.
Woodwool-stuffed, David’s joints are in good working order. He’s quite bald in places, but still has some endearing tufts of gold mohair. This cute old boy is dressed in his pyjamas and felt waistcoat, so he doesn’t catch cold.
I’m reading a very amusing book about what teddies talk about when they’re by themselves. I already know what I talk about, but it’s interesting to learn the thoughts of other bears.
There’s picture of a teddy standing on his head to see if his growl works. So I tried doing this myself, but all the colour drained from my fur! And I still don’t growl.
