A darling, fluffy long mohair ted, believed to be English c.1930s. Branson is all original and measures 30 cms (12″) tall. He’s wood-wool stuffed, and has back-painted brown glass eyes, and a black-stitched nose and mouth.
Branson’s pads are made of brown linen and, apart from a couple of teeny holes, are in minty condition. All his joints work fine, but his squeaker has packed up.
There’s a little loss of enamel to one eye, and overall thinning to his fab silky fur. Overall, though, he’s a gorgeous little chap, with sliced-in ears and a cute upturned protruding muzzle.
This delightfully-ambitious character is wearing his knitted dicky bow and dungarees, pinned with a very old National Savings badge. Branson believes money makes the world go round.
It’s true, I’m saving money so I can become the world’s first millionaire teddy bear! Then I’ll buy my own set of trains, plus a record company, and fly about in a hot air balloon.
It worked for my namesake, entrepreneur Richard Branson, so why not for me!
